Add some colour to your big day!

This collaboration brought together two of my favourite industry friends, Perched Bird Stationery and TOM HUMPHRIES FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY.

Last year Kara from Perched Bird Stationery and I teamed up to create our Mint , Coral & Gold Dessert Table. After the success of our first project we decided it would be rude not to join up again for a new collaboration . This time Kara left the theme idea to me…… from which the Marrakesh Range was born. It was great to work with such beautiful and vibrant colour pallet. Many night were spent researching Moroccan tiles, fabrics, food and architecture before finally reaching our overall look.

A Sweet Collaboration

The thought of starting a blog scares me a little! I must admit I’ve never been too great with words…..good job I make cakes for living! So I thought I would ease myself in and start with one of my favourite projects from last year.

I first met Kara and her husband Mike from Perched Bird when we were exhibiting next to each other at the NEC National Wedding Show. I was mesmerised by the work Kara produced. The attention to details, elegance, style and originality of her wedding stationery was like nothing I had ever seen before. When Kara then asked to collaborate on a project with her I jumped at the opportunity.

We set the theme, mint, coral and gold. Kara, with originality and flair for design, came up with a new range ‘Neo Folly’. From paper to icing this was the results from our sweet collaboration.
